Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about Eduviq — what it is, who it's for, how booking works, what it costs, and our policies.

What is Eduviq?
Eduviq is a learning platform in India that helps school students find and book verified one-to-one tutors. You can book an online class, an at-home session, or visit a tutor's coaching centre, for any K-12 school subject — priced by the hour, with no term fee or lock-in.
Who is Eduviq for?
Eduviq is for school students and their parents across India — anyone in classes 1 to 12 who needs one-to-one help with a school subject, whether that is a term of regular tuition or a single doubt-clearing hour before a test. It also serves the verified tutors who list their subjects and manage bookings on the platform.
How does booking work?
Search by subject, city and session mode; open a verified tutor's profile to see their fees and real-time open slots; pick a time, a session length and your mode (at home, online, or at their centre); and confirm. You can sign in quickly with Google, and you'll get a booking confirmation.
How much does Eduviq cost?
Eduviq is free to browse and pay-per-use to book. Every tutor sits on one of three levels — Silver, Gold or Platinum — decided by the hourly rate they ask for, and each level has one price per mode: at home, ₹999, ₹1,499 or ₹2,499 an hour; online or at the tutor's centre, ₹799, ₹1,199 or ₹1,799 an hour. The price is shown on the tutor's profile before you confirm, and a 30-minute slot is charged half. Some tutors also offer courses: a one-time, fixed-length commitment (1 month to 3 years) you enrol in. There are no subscriptions or memberships. See the Pricing page for full details.
Is there a free trial or demo?
There is no subscription because Eduviq is pay-per-use. Browsing verified tutors, viewing their profiles and fees, and creating an account are always free — you only pay when you book a session. The live site is fully browsable without signing in, so no separate demo is needed.
What subjects can I learn?
Every K-12 school subject: Maths and Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, English, Hindi and Sanskrit, Social Studies, History and Geography, Computer Science, Economics, Accountancy and Business Studies, plus French and German. Tutors teach the CBSE, ICSE, IB and IGCSE syllabuses.
What integrations or technology does Eduviq use?
Eduviq uses Google Sign-In (OAuth) for quick, password-free accounts; Google Maps for setting a precise at-home or coaching-centre location; and secure in-browser online classes powered by LiveKit (no download or app required). Online payments via Razorpay are rolling out. Eduviq is a consumer learning platform and does not currently offer a public developer API.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You can cancel an upcoming session from your dashboard at any time before it starts, and what comes back depends on how close the start is: more than a day away, 80% is refunded; inside a day, 50%; inside the last 2 hours, nothing, because the tutor has held the time and it is too late to fill. If a tutor cancels, we look for a replacement and refund you in full if nobody can take it. See the Cancellation & Refund Policy page for details.
Are the tutors on Eduviq verified?
Yes. Every tutor is reviewed and verified — including identity and teaching credentials — before appearing in search, so you always book a genuine, qualified professional.
Which areas does Eduviq cover?
Eduviq operates across India. At-home and coaching-centre coverage depends on how far each tutor travels — they set a radius around where they teach from, and only tutors who reach your address are offered. Online classes are available anywhere with an internet connection.
